Special Events: On behalf of everyone involved, thank you for participating in the Inaugural Play With Hope Memorial Tournament.
We realize that adding a Memorial component to any tournament may bring questions, concerns, and even a few fears, which is why we want to share a list of activities currently scheduled for you to share with your families. Much care and consideration has gone into the planning of this event with the atmosphere, goals, and well-being of your girls in mind.
After Game 2 on Saturday morning, we are asking that ALL teams participating in the tournament join us at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex - Field 4, for a resource type fair. This will take place during a planned 1 hour break in tournament play. Expected start time is 11:30.

Booth-Style Information and Activities Provided by:

2. With Hope Foundation: Annette Craig (or representative)
3. Social Media Awareness Station: Bark!
Please note that Louie and Liza Pangelinan will be in attendance, but will not be speaking per their request. It is their wish that information, resources, and proactive conversation be provided as the best way to honor Emma. Thus, the focus will be on self-esteem, empowerment, and safety tools for parents and coaches.
We recognize that this is a sports tournament and have been mindful to keep our messaging and the information provided balanced and age appropriate by consulting with experts and National SPRC Guidelines. We appreciate your trust and support to attend this portion of the tournament!
This event has honored the power of family for the past 12 years as the Mother’s Day Classic. Beginning in 2018, we are proud to highlight the importance of this unconditional love by raising funds for the Emma Pangelinan Memorial Foundation.
Throughout the weekend, we will come together as one family to support the Pangelinan's, former coaches, impacted organizations, TCS, and other key figures within the Fastpitch Community. Additionally, local professionals and resources will be made available to families and players in attendance. The power of training for excellence versus giving into perfectionism, and safeguards for social medial and smart phones are among some of the tools that will be offered.
We appreciate your support with this event and look forward to a positive weekend that celebrates the strength and meaning of family in all its forms.
