Please read the City of La Puente’s Sports Complex regulatory guidelines.
White hitting mats will be placed going north & south on the football field. Hitting and throwing activities will be required to be conducted in the east & west directions toward goalposts to ensure no pedestrians or spectators will be injured. No exceptions.
No pitching/warm-ups in the space between the batting cages and the blue field, pedestrians only.
Hitting nets outside of an enclosed field must be placed on designated white mats, the hitting direction should be the safest possible direction where there are no pedestrians. No exceptions.
Hitting nets being used inside any enclosed field must be utilized on the infield-skinned areas unless hitting mats are placed on the grass areas. No exceptions.
Throwing/catch: Avoid throwing toward a crowd, bystanders, or pedestrians. Long toss must be performed in a safe manner and direction to reduce the chance of injury.
No ladder drills on grass, please utilize infields or a hard surface.
No repeated motions that will cause damage to the grass.
All hitting drills on white mats.
Concourse Emergency Lane: please leave a clear pathway around the Snack Bar and through the concourse for ADA accessibility, Law Enforcement, Fire, Public Safety, and Maintenance Staff. Do not block pathways entirely.
Warmups during football, baseball, and softball season:
During football season: Baseball warms up on T-ball fields and Softball warms up at LP High School. (Use the access gate next to the batting cages) No exceptions.
If T-Ball fields are reserved: Baseball and softball will warm up at LP High School. No exceptions.
Warmups during football off-season:
Baseball: If baseball has FOUR fields, warmups will be on the football field and the High School. Please note, that if a team does not have a white hitting mat due to them all being used, the football field is at capacity and the team(s) without a mat will have to warm up at LP High School. (Use the access gate next to the batting cages.) No exceptions.
Softball: If softball has FOUR fields, warmups will be on the football field and the High School. Please note, that if a team does not have a white hitting mat due to them all being used, the football field is at capacity and the team(s) without a mat will have to warm up at LP high school. (Use the access gate next to the batting cages.) No exceptions.
Baseball and Softball (2 fields each): All warmups will be at LP High School. No Exceptions.
Warmup areas are subject to change depending on park programming.
Players, player’s families, and/or friends who fail to follow the park or complex tournament rules can and will result in a disqualification of the player or as a team entirely, forfeiting their game(s).
